How to Fall in Love with Your Home

It’s the little things that make a house a home. As a mother, making my house feel like home is one of the most important things to me. It is also important to have functional yet beautiful spaces in my home. If you aren’t in love with the one you have, just give one corner some love from your heart. Then your love will grow from there.

Sometimes we don't feel happy with our home because we have fed ourselves a constant diet of perfect inspiration home décor in our social newsfeed, which are not always realistic or attainable depending on our budgets. It sometimes happens to me if I’m scrolling Instagram too long, pretty soon I want a better house! Or a different one al together!.

That’s why I like to focus on falling more in love with one corner of my own home and working from there to the rest of the house. It’s a simple way to get started on something I can do, plus it’s way less overwhelming than moving and getting another mortgage haha and more practical than feeling like you haven't created the space you wanted to have.

Turn off social media and start with one corner in your home. See what happens from there, but I bet you’ll feel better and love your home more when you customise it for what will work for you and your family. 

Sometimes it is about starting with small steps and moving from there. One step at a time customer your space to reflect your personality. It is very easy to transform and ordinary space to a unique and beautiful space.
